Hi, I'm Chris 👋
I am a UX/UI Design Leader focused on helping people through empathetic design.
Most recently, I've was leading design on the Payments platform at Stitch Fix, where my work was centered on making our checkout process feel seamless and trustworthy. This included redesigning the end-to-end returns process in close collaboration with stakeholders across the company, giving clients greater flexibility while significantly reducing friction. That work contributed to measurable business impact: cutting shipping costs by millions of dollars and meaningfully reducing the time it takes to get returned inventory back into circulation.
Prior to Stitch Fix I served as the foundational designer at Pana (a business travel company) where I established the design processes and early UI design systems. I led design across several brand-new service offerings during a period when the travel industry was at a standstill due to Covid. This meant we had to navigate ambiguity, tight constraints, and the need to ship meaningful product quickly. That work directly contributed to the company being acquired by Coupa, after which I led the integration of the travel product into the acquiring company's broader software suite.
Prior to Pana/Coupa, I worked on the Payments team at Google leading the design of a new tool that helped streamline the process for disputing large invoices with Google. This product drastically reduced turnaround time for Google’s largest clients when they were settling invoices. Previously all disputes were handled by a long email chain with little oversight or tracking. The new tool allowed all messages to be saved, tracked, and audited, both improving customer relations and ensuring Google received invoice payments sooner.
While I am very comfortable in consumer products, I believe my strengths lie at the intersection of B2B and B2C products. I particularly enjoy solving complex user problems and trying to simplify the behind-the-scenes workflows that keep a business running.
